PHIL Says - Early Spring!

Phil says an early Spring and all over the US Miata clubs plan their 2019 driving season.  As the temperature goes up, the tops go down! 



Our local club is the Northcoast Miata Club based out of out of Northeast Ohio.  The club website can be found by clicking here.  The club boasts being the second largest club in the US.  Dee and I have been welcomed in and this is the friendliest group I have joined in a long time.  Do you have a Miata in Northeast Ohio?  Join us at one of the monthly meetings!

North Dakota Citizens ROCK!

Last week we had a Polar Vortex come through Northeast Ohio - it closed the state.  Seriously, no mail, school, and some businesses closed!

This week I am traveling in North Dakota and the temps have dipped to -11 degrees.  This morning I am watching the local Bismarck news and the weather person said, "it is going to be seasonally cold today."  That's it, so I left for my first appointment and saw school buses out delivering kids to class, people going to work, and life going on below zero.

Way to play with the hand your dealt ND!

"Excessive Celebration"

How long can you milk an accomplishment?  I see  resumes where the last major life victory was from 20-years ago.  That’s fine, but there is nothing recent, nothing ongoing, no change, and no proof of life.   It is like the star quarterback trying to live off a high school sports season the rest of his life.  It might work in small town America, but not in the real world.  He might, and that depends who is alive, might get a touchdown mentioned at his funeral.

At my doctor appointments my doctor tells me how I need to lose weight.  When I remind her that I quit smoking, she reminds me that was 5-years ago – get over it.  It is time to stop high fiving yourself for a past goal!  In the NFL they get a penalty for excessive touchdown celebration.  Do you have a flag on your play?

In reality we are only as good as what we will do today.  Victory and praise from yesterday is fast forgotten.  Today is the new most important day in your life; what will you do with it?

P.S.  The March to losing 100-lbs has me down 14-lbs!  Only 86 to go.
